Hi everyone. After work yesterday, I went to the art lab and added the textures to the Villa and Cottages. I did two different Cottage textures, but still, non of them have doors. I wanted to ask if the resolution of the textures on the buildings seems bad? Also, when I put the textures on the buildings and rendered, I noticed that they appeared to be a little transparent. Not sure why this is. Anyway, the file is in the ao folder in the game folder. So please take a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Some UV textures
Here are a few village textures I did. I did not add doors because I was not sure which sides they were or if they were sideway or not. I hope it is ok. Just trying to help progress. The UV tif files are in the game folder under ao>Village_Project>sourceimages.
Please feel free to contact me anytime if there are any questions.
I did not put the UVs on the actual buildings yet because I do not have access to Maya right now. So if you want to, go ahead and do so. Good luck everyone!

Hey, guys, Glenn checking in just to apologize for missing class Wednesday - I'm battling a nasty fever but it seems like it's gone down - and also to say that I'm going to try and finish drawing all of the images for Monday that I can, save for the ones that need reference pictures of the town.
See you all then.

game dimensions
Hey guys
I was just working on the programming, and I realized the the screen resolution on my laptop is 1440 x 900, and that's as high as it goes. So I'm thinking we should change our game dimensions from 1280 x 1024 to maybe 1024 x 784?
I'm gonna make the loading screen this res so i can work on the game at home.
If this is going to be a huge problem please let me know.

Glenn and other team members
You have permission to go ahead and name the filler characters as you see fit. That way we can get the ball rolling on completing the story on time and we will sync it up when the time comes. For right now I don't see a problem with the screen resolution that you have chosen. Just remember that we are the Fuzzball team and we will work together to complete our goals and help out those who need it. We are the team that cares about our members and nothing will change that!

Great models...
Hey guys, I found a site with tons of free models we could use for our game. I know it's supposed to be our game with our models, but let's face it... we have only 1 month. This should help us cut some corners...

The Environment...
Here's what I've been working on for our environment concept art. The crochet world:

Brainstorming...
Our game, with working title of "Fuzzball" or "Fuzzball of Fun", is an adventure and puzzle based game. It will be a single-player game in a 3rd person format so that the gamer can always see the character, but there may be situations where a 1st person point of view is used instead. The style will be what we call "cartoon real". This means that the environment and characters will be recognizable and somewhat realistic, but there will be an overlapping cartoon style. The world will be a walkabout world where the character/characters are somewhat free to roam around.
The basis of our game, as of now, is that a "fuzzball crochet bear" is given to a little girl for her birthday, but the bear soon realizes that the girl is entirely evil. He escapes back to his crochet world, but accidentally and unknowingly brings the girl into his world with him. She terrorizes the crochet world and the fuzzball bear and his friends must find a way to get her out.
Here's the basis for our main character (the fuzzball bear):
